Sacrament of Confirmation ~ Pray for Our Teens

Please pray for our teens from St. Lawrence, St. Mary’s, and St. Teresa as they continue to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Their preparation includes weekly class gatherings, service and retreat opportunities.  They will take part in a weekend retreat January 28-29, together with youth from All Saints.  Come, Holy Spirit, come!

Confirmation Attire

The goal is to have the youth look reverent and at the same time wearing predominately white.  White is the color of the garment that they wore on their baptism; and the color of the saints in heaven.  This sacrament, confirmation, completes and perfects baptism.  Their dress should make reference to this reality.

Boys-
Dark or khaki dress pants, belt, dark socks, dress shoes
White dress shirt with a predominately red tie
Jackets not required or requested

Girls-
Predominately white skirt, dress or nice dress pants.
For dresses or skirts
Not floor length and not shorter than your finger-tips
  Not strapless
Shoulders must be covered and the neck-line needs to be modest
White sweaters or dress jackets are allowed if the dress does not meet church/modesty standards

No flip flops
