What is RCIA?

Each year on Holy Saturday during the Easter Vigil, thousands are baptized into the Catholic Church in the United States. Parishes welcome these new Catholics through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Learn more about the Catholic Church’s process here:  https://www.usccb.org/beliefs-and-teachings/who-we-teach/christian-initiation-of-adults.

How Does RCIA Work at Our Parishes?

Adults at all stages of their faith journey are welcome:
† Curious about the Catholic Church
† Interested in becoming a Catholic
† Desiring to return to the Catholic Church
† Desiring to deepen understanding of Catholic theology
† Who are non-Catholic spouses
† Who have not been confirmed

Participants are encouraged to attend all meetings but if a lesson is missed, previously recorded topical discussions can be found by clicking HERE

Please call the parish office at 812-537-3992 or contact our RCIA Coordinator, Cindy White eandcwhite88@gmail.com for more information.
