Faith Formation for Children, Grades K-8

Catholic Schools, Religious Education and Sacramental Prep

For St. Lawrence, St. Mary’s, and St. Teresa

2021 – 2022 Program Year

The parishes of St. Lawrence, St. Mary’s, and St. Teresa provide three primary options to support and assist parents to raise their children in the practice of the faith:

1.  Catholic School Education.  We have two amazing Catholic Schools at St. Mary’s and St. Lawrence -- and with the voucher program, almost anyone can go to Catholic School for free. Catholic school families are not expected to enroll their children in parish religious education classes due to the faith formation taking place in the school. However, please note that these families are expected to take part in the parish sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion and Confirmation (2nd and 9th grade).

Find more information about each school by visiting their website:

St. Lawrence    https://www.stlschool.com/

St. Mary’s    https://mystmarys.com/

*Note – each of our Catholic Schools offer a preschool program

2.   Homeschool.  More and more families are choosing the option of homeschooling and have a solid faith component in place within their homeschool curriculum. For parents who choose to homeschool only the faith formation portion of their child’s education, please contact kimsprague@dccatholics.com for guidance on approved program materials. Families who choose to homeschool using a solid faith-based program, like Catholic School families, are not expected to enroll their children in parish religious education classes; they are expected to take part in the parish sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion and Confirmation (2nd and 9th grade).

3. Parish Religious Education Programming.  For those parents who do not have their children enrolled at a Catholic School or who are homeschooling their children without a faith-based curriculum, there will be two opportunities for Parish Religious Education for K-8th grade for St. Teresa, St. Mary’s and St Lawrence Parishioners:
